International Annual of Floral Art
Last week the annual "International Floral Art 08/09" went on sale - Planet team member Gemma was honored to have her work featured in the book along with 7 other UK floral designers. As only 1 in every 4 designers who submit their work are chosen it is a real privilege for Gemma to have achieved this international design accolade.Royal College Of Surgeons
This weekend a wedding took us to The Royal College Of Surgeons. Located in the heart of Edinburgh and only ten minutes away from Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle, Surgeons’ Hall Complex provides a truly unique venue in which to host your wedding within the historic City of Medicine.
One of the most important aspects of your wedding is your color scheme. Our flowers this time featured a combination of colours - light apple green and palest pink. Along with the beautiful linen the bride had chosen, the flower complimented them giving the room such a soft and gentle look.
Each centerpiece was made with pale pink hydrangea, ivory roses, white stock, pink roses, pink peonies, pink stock and hanging amaranthus. This gave the arrangement a full and natural look within the candelabra.

Dundas Castle
At the end of May we did the last of our spring weddings. We love the change of seasons – it gives us a new lease of colours and choice of flowers to bring in to our work.
The bride opted for soft pinks, ivory and blues which is a perfect spring mix. The softness of flowers and colours brought a true romantic feel to the Pavilion at Dundas Castle. The bride held an amazing bouquet of over 250 stems of all Lily of the Valley which was an absolute joy to make!
As a recommended florist for over 10 years at Dundas Castle we know it very well and have seen many gorgeous weddings there. It is always a pleasure meeting the bridal families, advising them what works best in the fairytale castle which will create their perfect day.
