Dundas Castle

This weekend brought us our very first truly winter wedding. Dundas Castle was the perfect setting for the wedding - The amaryllis with it's vivid red shade set the wintry scene matching in perfectly with the brides chosen linens, stationary and favours. One of our senior floral designers Linda could not wait to get her hands on the natural willow to create an amazing entrance into the Keep where the ceremony was held. To give that added sparkle we hung crystals and hanging tea lights to give as much drama as possible. Pictures taken by Planet team member Steven.

Musselburgh Race Course

Last week we worked with the award winning Heritage Portfolio at Musselburgh Race Course. We just wanted to show how amazing these rich colours look together – the depth and texture of the arrangement with the touches of amaryllis and orchid napkin flowers just finishes the table perfectly. National Archives of Scotland

It is pretty apparent by now that the Planet team love autumn flowers! Although, after the wintry weekend past we thought we better feature our last autumn event of the year. A combination of the most breathtaking lighting by Tower Productions and luxurious linen by 88 Events set the scene for the dramatic designs we show cased at Edinburgh's new venue - The National Archives of Scotland. The colours were just immense!

A big thank you to Blue Sky Photography for their kindness in letting us use there amazing images on our website/blog.

The Wedding List Jenners

We are proud to be supporting Jenners in their special event. They are launching their brand new Wedding List Service next Thursday. We will be showcasing some of our new designs along with the wedding flower trends for 2009.

Assembly Rooms

Yesterday for the fourth consecutive year at the Assembly Rooms, we provided the flowers for The Radio Forth Awards with Blackhorse Finance. As there was so much going on at this glamorous event - keeping it simple was the key to the design!

Edinburgh Corn Exchange

As the Corn Exchange is such a blank canvas as a venue it really lets you go wherever you want in terms of colours and styles. With a smart colour palette of red and black with splashes of white with a real clean, simple and modern look - not to mention a few quirky finishing touches this wedding has a truly unique look!

Wedding Flowers Magazine

When Sharon & Andy contacted us a few months after their wedding in April to tell us that it was going to be featured in the December/January issue of Wedding Flowers Magazine we were extactic! Wedding Flowers Magazine is solely dedicated to helping brides and grooms find their perfect floral wedding designs. Wedding flowers is one of the Planet teams favourite magazines - always having its finger on the pulse of the up and coming wedding flower trends.

Sharon & Andy got married in one of Scotland’s most awe-inspiring venues, Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute. Opting to go with classic colours and seasonal flowers of tulips and hydrangea. Our glass candelabras matched the amazing venue perfectly to add that touch of glamour to the tables!

We received a lovely Thank you note shortly after the wedding, "I just wanted to let you know that I thought everything was superb! I had the best time, and everyone noted how calm I was in the morning (considering I'm a bit of a perfectionist) but I told them that' because I am working with the best people and I have every confidence! Well I wasn't wrong, everything was just how I had dreamt it, except the reception tables (which totally surpassed expectation) I have to say I was just blown away. The flowers were stunning and the candelabra's were worth every penny!"

Scone Palace

We had a lovely country trip up to Scone Palace on Saturday. After driving through all the magnificent autumn trees in the fresh air out of the city we were really in the mood for this autumn themed wedding! Working alongside Litu - Scottish Wedding Consultants & Planners this really was a fairytale wedding in a breathtaking beautiful venue. Pictures taken by Planet team member Gemma.
