Glasgow Science Centre

We always enjoy reading 88 Events blog. We have especially enjoyed their recent entries updating us on all the styling and design that has gone into Gordon Ramsay's Gala Dinner in aid of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association which was held in the Glasgow Science Centre last week. We provided funky little green button chrysanthemum balls which 88 Events used on the guest tables – they looked so fresh and crisp on their faux silk tablecloths.

The Balmoral Hotel

Many venues provide wedding packages and we are often given the task of working with the venues own candle sticks or vases. The Balmoral Hotel provide these gorgeous vintage candelabra for each guest table within their package.   We did not want to take away from the candelabra so decided to keep things simple - filling crystal goblets with ivory roses and placing three around each candelabra. The simplicity of the timeless roses accentuated the candelabra without taking away from any of the tableware.

Botanical Gardens

The Planet Flowers team have wanted to design an autumn inspired tree for a long time now and by chance the perfect opportunity came last week. Our client wanted to showcase the new event space at the John Hope Gateway in the Botanical Gardens Edinburgh.

The tree was the perfect size and once on site we were able to string garlands of autumn goodies. Malus apples, Maple leaves, Beech leaves and Physalis all hung from the branches to finish the tree with a whimsical feel.

Glencorse House

We were so excited when Kirsty from Milton Couture asked us to design a few wedding bouquets for a photo shoot at Glencorse House back in September. The dresses were so insanely gorgeous and girly it was important that we continued that in the bouquets we designed to keep that same ultra feminine look.

We wanted this bouquet to be light and soft so we kept to a vintage lilac colour palette. Using Sweet Peas, Lavender and hydrangeas, all from our very own cutting garden - perfect for the Eco-friendly bride!!

This had to be one of the most gorgeous wedding dresses we have ever seen! As it was so full with lots of detail we wanted to keep the bouquet simple yet chic. We used vivid dark pink Phaelenopsis orchids which looked effortlessly elegant against the amazing dress. All images were captured by Picture This Creative Photography.
