Glencorse House
Yellow is not a colour that we often come across as a wedding colour theme, we’re not quite sure why, but we could probably count the number of yellow weddings we have done in the past 10 years on our fingers and toes! This year however, we have had 3 so far!! Each one being uniquely different and modern and we love it! This wedding at the beginning of June took place at Glencorse House and we had a little too much fun creating it! When our bride asked for a full diamante bouquet handle we have to be honest we were a little dubious but the end result was stunning and it literally rocked!! The sparkly handle was such a fantastic idea against the soft fluffy peonies. The bridesmaids held small, neat handtieds of yellow tulips - sadly the last tulips we will be using this season. These were then surrounded by one of our favourite yellow flowers Craspedia. To keep the yellow and black theme we used black glass cubes with large yellow balls of flowers as the table flowers. It’s sometimes such a lovely treat to see a low table arrangement, it keeps things a little more informal and we think a low arrangement always works well in venue with a low ceiling like the marquee at Glencorse.

Botanical Gardens
We love outdoor wedding ceremonies but since we are based in Scotland, unfortunately we don’t see that many of them! Often when planning outdoor ceremonies with our couples we have an indoor back-up plan, meaning that the flowers must be able to be transportable to the indoor location. Thankfully the weather on Robyn and John’s big day was beautiful and we were able to set their ceremony decorations at Redwood Grove in the Botanical Gardens without a drop of rain in sight!

Mansfield Traquair
The damson vintage damask linens and cerise pink uplighting around the room set the tone for this event at Mansfield Traquair. We used our silver candelabras and silver punch bowls on the two long tables in the centre of the room. Keeping the colours rich and bold with just a pop of cerise to give some vibrancy on the table brought the colours together. Texture is our big thing here at Planet just now, mixing something as soft and fluffy as a Peony rose with something clean and waxy like an orchid is making us smile!
