Dundas Castle
At the end of May we did the last of our spring weddings. We love the change of seasons – it gives us a new lease of colours and choice of flowers to bring in to our work.
The bride opted for soft pinks, ivory and blues which is a perfect spring mix. The softness of flowers and colours brought a true romantic feel to the Pavilion at Dundas Castle. The bride held an amazing bouquet of over 250 stems of all Lily of the Valley which was an absolute joy to make!
As a recommended florist for over 10 years at Dundas Castle we know it very well and have seen many gorgeous weddings there. It is always a pleasure meeting the bridal families, advising them what works best in the fairytale castle which will create their perfect day.

The Royal College of Physicians
Rachel has been kind enough to send in some images from her wedding in April. She used Heritage Portfolio to create her Moroccan themed cuisine and we had the hard task of thinking out the box to come up with a design which would work along side the food being served on the table.
The Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh is so warm and welcoming with its beautiful Georgian and Victorian rooms but as you can see from the images the Moroccan themed table decorations really brought something of an Arabian night - it just proves that you don't need a lot to make a huge impact.
Thank you so much to Rose at Alastair Burn-Murdoch Photography for permitting us to share these brilliant images and sending through even more detailed shots!

Cumlodden Church
At this time of year all we have in our minds is weddings weddings WEDDINGS here at Planet! It is so important to us to
make sure that our flowers are unique to the bride and groom - letting their personality be translated into flowers!
This wedding has been a favourite of ours this year so far. In April we had the amazing experience of travelling up
to Lochfyneside and decorating Cumlodden Church. It was so important to the couple to keep in with the decor` of the
church and its surroundings. As blue was one of the more prominent colours, we used that as the main colouring,
then brought in ivory and pink to add a country feel. Using soft spring flowers guaranteed it would match the scenery
around the dainty church.

We were delighted on our return after the wedding to recieve a lovely thank you note from the mother of the groom.
"I just wanted to say again what an outstanding job you did for Charles & Fran’s wedding. You not only read Fran’s mind, you looked into her soul and translated what you found in to flowers from heaven. I am usually a stickler for having everything on paper, drawings etc. I didn’t quite understand or could imagine some of the arrangements you described, but it didn’t worry me one bit. With you I felt in completely safe hands, safe, but inspired. Totally confident. Thank you for your exquisite work."
