Dundas Castle

Julia decided on a traditional Scottish feel to her wedding flower style.  Her bridesmaids wore a dark purple so the colouring worked alongside perfectly.  We picked some purple anemones from our cutting gardens to help soften the bouquets and compliment the dresses.  Pop over to Cherry Tree Films to see their trailer – it’s not to be missed!  Many thanks to Sarah Elizabeth for sending us some flowery images over..

Inchcolm Island followed by Hopetoun House

Growing up in Edinburgh, most of the team took school trips to Inchcolm Island as children, so it was lovely to re-visit and see the Abbey in September to set it for Marie and Ross's day. Blue Sky were there on the day and followed the party on to the reception at Hopetoun House. It was a lovely change to see the Ballroom set by candlelight creating an elegant atmosphere; opting for one main large focal arrangement on the fireplace rather than the tables.

Hopetoun House

One of the few beautiful springs days we had in April happened to be on the same day as Nicola and Matthews wedding day at Hopetoun House.  It seemed more than perfect that most of the flowers we used were seasonal spring flowers; muscari, paper whites, Ranunculus, Hyacinths, tulips, viburnum.. the scent in the rooms was heavenly!
