Hopetoun House

We were thrilled to find out that one of our weddings is featured in the current issue of Real Life Weddings magazine. The wedding story of Laurie Whittome & Rory Grant who were married at Loretto School Chapel and had their wedding reception at Hopetoun House on 14th April 2007.  Not long after Laurie and Rory's wedding we received the most beautiful - not to mention longest thank you letters we have ever received from Laurie's mum.

"How quickly time is passing. I can hardly believe it is almost a month since Laurie and Rory's wedding day. It was a magical day, exceeding ALL their expectations.

The flowers were ABSOLUTELY breathtaking. Those in Loretto Chapel were just as we had hoped. The magnificent pedestal arrangement, the simplicity of the ivy and exactly the right number of candles with the glorious scent of the lilies setting the scene for the day. Laurie's bouquet of roses and lily of the valley was perfect and bridesmaid’s lily of the valley looked beautiful against their dark dresses.

At Hopetoun House the pedestal in the Tiger Room and the flowers in the Tapestry Room were much admired, again the scent of the lilies filling the air. The garland on the stairs with the fairy lights and the candles and ivy in the ladies room were a delight.

However it was the Ballroom which brought gasps of amazement as the guests went in to dinner. The candelabra, the posies, the tea lights and absolutely BREATHTAKING arrangement above the fireplace. EVERYONE mentioned the magnificent flowers in their letters - even the wild young men from the rugby club! Praise indeed.

Apart from the magnificent fireplace arrangement one of the best memories of an amazing day was the sight of the pedestal arrangement from the chapel apparently making its own way across the school quadrangle into a mini bus........ Actually an usher was underneath but only his feet were visible. I do hope someone managed to take a photograph!

Ladies, many sincere thanks to you and your fantastic team for THE most wonderful flowers.

Special thanks for all your kindness, patience, time and expertise. You made each visit to Planet Flowers memorable and Laurie and Rory's wedding VERY special indeed."

Thank you so much to Rankine Photography for sharing the beautiful wedding pictures with us!
